This kit includes the 1TB P3 Plus NVMe M.2 SSD, and instructions on how to download Acronis True Image Crucial edition and a M.2 clone case.
Use the link in the instructions to download Acronis. Install new M.2 into the clone case. Connect the clone case to the PC with supplied USB-C cable into your computer. Run Acronis and clone from your current drive to the new drive. When it is finished cloning, shut your computer down and replace the old drive with the new SSD. Reboot and enjoy! We will included detailed printed cloning instructions with your SSD, and if you need it, free technical support over the phone for any questions about the SSD, clone or install.

SSD warranty (3 to 5 year )
Unlike RAM, an SSD has limited write cycles, so it will eventually wear out. However, it will take 10 years or more to wear out an SSD! Warranty varies from 3 to 5 years, please check the SSDs description. Our faulty SSD return policy is to make it as simple as possible for the customer. We will replace faulty drives as soon as they are returned.

Our money back guarantee is about your assurance that our upgrades will make a difference. If is not about how many days, it is about customer service and trust. We have had the same guarantees for 20+ years because they are sustainable. We have had to make some modifications. We now reserve the right to charge a 5% restocking fee. Item arrived in a timely manner but the product description did not match what arrived.

Item was supposed to come with Acronis True Image Crucial but it come with Macrium. Done the job but not as simple. Also cable provided did not work until I removed the USB A to USB C adaptor.

Thank you for your recent review. We utilise Macrium cloning software as we have found the free acronis version that accompanies Crucial SSDs has issues cloning with the M.2 PCIe SSDs. Macrium is a considerably better software program, more stable and works everytime. We apologise if there was some confusion on which software to utilise initially. I will have the team test the existing cables we have in stock to insure both the A and C adapter are compatible.

Great little Kit

I bought the 1TB Crucial P3 Plus NVME M.2 SSD with cloning kit to replace a 4-year old hard-drive (HD) that came in my HP laptop.

The kit comes well packaged, with the replacement HD already inserted in the enclosure, and Upgradeable's own instructions on how to use it.

The instructions make it clear you need to download and install software to perform the cloning operation. However, a browser search for the suggested packages will turn-up the developer websites requiring you to pay for a licenced product.

Paying for cloning software when using Crucial HDs isn't necessary. If you navigate to the website for Crucial hard-drives and search for the software there, you can obtain it for free under a licence that Crucial has negotiated extends to users of its HDs (and will only work if you have a Crucial HD either in your existing machine, or in the cloning enclosure). Kingston operate on a similar basis.

If anyone at Upgradeable reads these reviews, it would be good to make this clearer in your instructions that accompany the kit.

Once the software was downloaded and installed, performing the cloning activity was as simple as following the software prompts, and took only a few minutes to clone my (nearly full) by 256GB SSD.

After physically installing the new drive, my laptop booted cleanly first time, and has worked flawlessly since.

I'm keeping my old HD as a temporary backup for now, stored inside the cloning enclosure that came with the kit. The cloning software also provide you with the ability to wipe the old drive and turn it into a removable HD if you want...I may do this in the future!
