Wanted to upgrade the memory on my 2010 MacBook Pro, and my 2014 27 inch IMac.

Recently replaced the aging HD with a new 1TB Crucial SSD and increased the ram from 4GB to 16GB. A vast improvement that will give the old laptop an extended life.

Bought the drive to get my image library off the main hard drive. Plugged it in - formatted with disc utility and away we went. 1.5 TB in 8 hours. Thought that might have been a bit long but was using C to C on a MacStudio M2 Ultra (not Thunderbolt) f- may well have been the cable as the limiter but doesn't matter - files are all copied. Didn't appear to get overly warm. I like that I can unplug it and put it in the safe when I go away. Thanks Team Upgradeable!
I bought 2 x 8GB memory sticks, well packed delivered quick, excellent service.
The enclosure is built extremely well. Which you expect from OWC. It's quite big by enclosure standards. I have 2 other enclosures that are different brands and this easily beats them for speed and quality.
The speed you get will depend somewhat on your SSD of course.
I get around 2700 MB/s read and 2400MB/s write. Not too shabby!
