Five year SSD warranty (3 year OWC Aura)
Unlike RAM, an SSD has limited write cycles, so it will eventually wear out. The Crucial MX500 is rated to last 360TB of write cycles. You would have to write 200GB every day for five years to wear it out! The new warranty for the MX500 SSD is five years. Our faulty SSD return policy is to make it as simple as possible for the customer. We will replace faulty drives as soon as they are returned. Please note older Crucial drives have a 3 year warranty and some OWC Aura SSD drives we sell have a 3 year warranty. The new Aura Pro X has a 5 year warranty.

The answer is you can return the memory for a full refund. We chose 14 days because we thought that was a reasonable time frame. We have never refused a refund that has been a reasonable time past 14 days, such as 21 days or 30 days. If you are not happy with the RAM upgrade, we don't want to make your day worse by saying no to a refund. In fact, everything we list we stock, so if you dont want it, we restock it. excellent package; but for iMac 14,1's missing an essential tool.

This kit was such good value for what it enables you to do; I was able to replace the treacle-slow HDD with a crucial mx500 SATA-SSD, as well as fully upgrade the system RAM. But there is one particular tool missing that I feel is an oversight: to take off the exhaust housing, and by extension the motherboardyou need a Torx T8 screwdriver, as well as a Torx T10. I feel that this should definitely be bundled along with everything else in this kit. Surely it wouldn't increase costs by too much.

Thank you for your feedback. I believe the kit includes a Torx T10s(security), which of course can be used as a Torx T10 as it would be compatible with both applications. I will have the team bundle in the T8 on all future orders to assist with these SSD upgrades.
